One of my Fave Designers: Balmain Fall collection

You already know I would pair this with some dark skinny denim and fierce possibly bright hued pumps.

I would want to casual this skirt down maybe with a slightly but not too over sized white v-neck tee tucked in a little with some very over sized neck accessories.

If I ever get a chance to walk anyone's red carpet it would be in a dress like this, elegant in the back...party in the front...lol mullet style!

I would totally wear this just to go to the club, I'm all about showing the legs.

Rhianna

Ok so i don't want to sound like a Rhi-Rhi hater because when she came out and even recently I have been a fan of Rhianna's music. I'm not such a big fan of her style choices all the time. I feel as though she has been getting alot of attention for her style and originality that is not deserved. I feel as though her stylist revamped her look for her "Good Girl Gone Bad" album and she has now adopted this new look. That's fine. I just want people to stop referring to her as "style icon" That's a phrase that should be taken very seriously and not just given to a girl who is really just dressing like most rockers and skaters do. Don't get me wrong I even like the style but I don't feel like Rhianna can put her own look together without any help, I can always tell when she is wearing a self-picked ensemble, always looks like she is doing too much and trying too hard. This brings me to these current photos of Rhi's new hair cut.....the shaved sides. Have we not seen this look ladies i.e. Kelis, Cassie, La La. But as I look at sites everyone is acting as though its their first time seeing it and it is soooooo cute....."HATED IT"
I don't feel like she is a trendsetter at all, she is a definite trend follower and sometimes can add a little something to it but not usually. and I am officially "OVER IT"

My Go To look :)

I am a total jeans and t shirt girl, yes I may throw on a dress or skirt to go to a club but on a regular basis it is all about jeans and t shirts for me. When doing this casual look Make sure that the t-shirt isn't too tight or too short. You don't want it to be baggy just a little loose fitting and you want it long enough so that you can bend over without showing your back. ( Public Library "Peace Off" tee Karma Loop)

Jeans are very important, They need to fit perfect for you to feel like a hottie, that means no gappy crotch, no extra space in the waist, not too short(my main issue ), or not too long. Its important to not go cheap on your jeans (that spandex stretchy type) because if you splurge on a great fitting quality pair of jeans they can last you for years. I go cheap on my t shirts all the time because you can find a cute tee any where but cheapie jeans are a no-no, at least of course for your every day jeans. Feel free to buy a few cheapie colored, ripped, or bleached jeans because those will probably go out of style within a few seasons anyway.("Kill City" Jeans Karma Loop)

A fierce shoe completes the look, of course you will need accessories such as cute chain, earrings, and bangles. (Aldo shoes)

We are now mid-summer, (although it feels like it just started in Chicago) And we all need hot eye wear, here are a couple of styles from Graffiti artist turned designer Claw Money.

While checking some of my fave sites i came across some gorgeous jewelry by Ken and Dana Designs. Their jewelry is definitely my style and if you ever feel the need to let your inner rock star out please check them out, just one of their pieces can change a simple wife beater and skinny jeans into a photo ready outfit.

Ok so I am a self professed shoe-a-holic! These suede Fendi shoes are definitely making my heart melt! Just look at the quality workmanship that had to have gone into making these, Ill stop now because I'm kinda drooling..

Cuteness or Not so much?

It's a given that Amber Rose (Kanye West Girlfriend) has a unique sense of style, usually I dig it but I don't think I'm feelin this outfit too much. Maybe its because I hate midriff baring tops ( so circa 1990's "Poetic Justice")

Random Alert!!!!!

With all this talk about the Nas and Kelis divorce, pics of Kelis have been popping up on sites everywhere. This reminded me how much I love Kelis and her style. She is fearless, she does and wears what she wants and could care less what anyone says. I honestly think her style is underestimated. Has to be when Rhianna is being referred to as a "Style Icon" and Kelis who is always on the forefront of trends gets little recognition. But I love Kelis and she is definitely one of my "Vixen Style Icons"

She definitely killed the shaved side look long before Cassie and LaLa, theirs is cute but Kelis' was "The Shit"
